You can make ARCS Foundation Atlanta a full or partial beneficiary of your Individual Retirement Account (IRA), Life Insurance Policy or Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) by completing a simple online form through your financial or insurance institution.

First Year ARCS Scholar

Zach obtained a B.S. in Physics from Illinois State University, where he studied single neurons and how they could be modeled mathematically and with electronic hardware. After this, he earned an M.S. in Biomathematics at Illinois State University, where he developed mathematical models of thermo reception by a neuron in the nematode C. elegans. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Quantitative Biosciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Zach’s current focus is on how anatomical structure and precisely timed dynamics are interrelated in networks of biological neurons. He has given presentations on his work at conferences and workshops, including the Allen Institute’s summer workshop on the dynamic brain in 2023.
