Martin Moore was an ARCS Scholar at the University of Georgia during the 2001-2003 academic years. Dr. Moore is currently Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Meissa Vaccines Inc., a start-up pharmaceutical development company focused on the in-licensing and advancement of vaccines for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV, the largest unmet respiratory medical need in pediatrics) and rhinovirus (the leading cause of infectious disease worldwide). He is also an Assistant Professor at Emory University, Director of the Center for Childhood Infections and Vaccines (CCIV) within the Pediatric Research Alliance, and a Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Research Scholar. His work on RSV vaccines was recognized as Emory University's Innovation of the Year in 2013. Dr. Moore is co-inventor of numerous RSV-related technologies and is a frequent national/international lecturer on RSV.

Martin was a graduate student in the Department of Genetics at the University of Georgia. After receiving his Ph.D. in 2003, he undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In 2008, he joined the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University.
