Christian is a 3rd-year Chemistry Doctoral student at the University of Georgia studying the effects of phospholipid composition on antibiotic resistance in bacteria. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with his B.S. in Chemistry and pre-pharmacy. There, he completed three years of research on chemo-sensor micellar interaction, attended an REU at the University of  Wisconsin-Madison producing domain containing vesicles, and graduated as a Dean’s Research scholar, Bill Ponder Scholar, American Institute of Chemists (AIC) outstanding senior, and American Chemical Society (ACS) outstanding senior undergraduate organic chemistry student. He has five publications, including a first-author research paper on method development in phospholipid isomer identification. In, his spare time, Christian likes to garden and volunteer in organization work.
