Posted on Tuesday, July 31, 2018

Jason Frieman recently began work as a research electrical engineer in the Electric Propulsion Systems Branch at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, where he will be focusing on testing propulsion systems and rockets on the ground before they’re ready for prime-time testing in space. Jason received a Ph.D. in May 2017 in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. While at Georgia Tech, he was a member of the High-Power Electric Propulsion Lab.  Jason said, “I hope to be part of a NASA team that mirrors what was done with the Apollo program, but instead of going to the moon we go to Mars.”
