Dear ARCS Members,
As I mentioned in the fall newsletter, some things change and some do not, as evidenced by our members who continue to raise funds for our scholar awards, plan events to showcase our scholars, educate us, entertain us, create materials to keep us informed and manage our money. Your Board of Directors has been busy this year.
As the end of my presidency draws nearer, I have become more reflective. When I unexpectedly stepped into the role of the president in July, I never dreamed that the time would pass so quickly or that the job would be as rewarding the second time. The experience of again serving as the president of our chapter has been an incredible privilege with hard work, many fun times, and amazing relationships.
Thanks to all members for your time, talent, and financial resources to support our mission and our scholars. I would especially like to thank members who served on the board this past year. Without your leadership our successes would not have been possible.
“Remember volunteers don’t get paid because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.”
ARCS Foundation will be in good hands under the leadership of Carolynn Cooper. Congratulations, Carolynn on your new role and the best of luck as you continue to move us forward.
Fondly, Sara Jean
