The 2018 January meeting and luncheon was held at the Woodruff Arts Center. In addition to announcing this year's ARCS Light, there was a round table discussion and a guest speaker, Dr. Walter Curran, Executive Director of the Winship Cancer Center at Emory University.
This year's ARCS Light is Susan Higley. Over the past 20 years, Susan Higley has willingly served as Education Chairman, Retreat Co-chairman, Nominating Committee Chairman, and Funds Development Chairman. Susan’s most recent position was co-chair of our chapter’s year-long 25th Anniversary Celebration. No matter where she is or who she is with, she is a true advocate of ARCS Foundation, Inc.
Next on the agenda was a discussion of a number of issues that have been identified as topics to be considered in an updated long range plan. There was a lively and fruitful session. This was followed by lunch and a presentation by our guest speaker. At the conclusion of the meeting members were invited for a guided tour of one of the current exhibitions: Al Taylor, What Are You Looking At?
