Lonnie Sullivan, is a Resident at Duke University Hospital, pursuing a career in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Cardiology. He chose this career path because he realized during his undergraduate years as an ARCS Scholar at Morehouse College that he not only loved science, but also loved interacting with people. He says, “The ability to take what I learned in a classroom and directly apply it to the care of real life patients is rewarding in ways that almost no other profession can offer. I’ve always remained motivated to keep learning, pushing, and trying to better myself because I realize that people’s lives will eventually be in my hands.”
