Funds Development is Connecting Donors and Scholars in an Innovative Way
Every year, our donors share how much they love meeting their scholars. Since we could not gather last year, Funds Development committed to connect them virtually!
We invited all 2020 half- and full- Scholar donors to participate. We are pleased to report that Funds Development has hosted 13 “Conversations with a Scholar” via Zoom this winter, and we have two more on the books. Each Zoom call included at least one ARCS member, the donor(s) and their respective 2020 ARCS Scholar(s).
We hosted a special Zoom call for long-time donor, Genuine Parts Company, and their Morehouse scholar. Napoleon Rutledge, Chief Accounting Officer at GPC, is a Morehouse alum, and he invited several other alums at GPC to join the Zoom. We were all inspired to listen to their words of encouragement and support for their ARCS Scholar.
Funds Development also connected individual member donors with their scholars in smaller Zoom calls, providing an opportunity for more casual conversations.
