Thanks from Scholar Laura Redmond
"I want to thank you again for supporting my career development, and I look forward to encouraging the development of future scientists as an ARCS Scholar Alum."
The 2024 Fall Party, “La Bella Notte” was held at the lovely home of Ellen Adair and Henry Wyche. Continuing our Fall Party tradition, President Carolynn Cooper welcomed the guests, and VP Membership Patty Reid introduced four of our five new members: Erin Drury Boorn, Ashley Cornelison, Barbara Bing Pliner and Sallie Topfl. We missed Meredith Carpenter but look forward to welcoming her at our General Membership Meeting in January. The beautiful buffet dinner was catered by veteran culinary team, Bill and Vada Stallworth and Arla Fredericks of Stallworth Catering. The highlight of the evening was a fun and successful auction of six sought-after items and experiences donated by ARCS members and friends. Ellen Adair was our expert auctioneer! Many thanks to Special Events Chair Tricia Rosenbaum and Chair-Elect Cathey Millichap for organizing this beautiful evening in Italy!

Thank you very much for your support. It meant a lot. I had the opportunity to return to Tech as a faculty member last year. I’m very happy to be back and hope I can advise a future ARCS scholar soon!
"Thank you all for reaching out and the support over the years. It's been a rocky few years following the passing of my doctoral research mentor a few weeks prior to my dissertation defense. Trying to rebound from his loss, finishing my dissertation, and figuring out where to go from there was challenging to say the least ... Thank you again for your support. Honestly I did not know how much I would have ended up relying on the generous gift that the Atlanta Chapter of ARCS Foundation provided when it was first received. However, it was vital in helping me launch a new chapter in my career when I found my plans collapse when my mentor passed. Again, THANK YOU!"
