Stock

You may decrease capital gains tax when you donate appreciated stock, bonds, and mutual funds to ARCS Foundation Atlanta.  Giving these assets is a simple electronic transfer.  Our "Instructions for Stock Donation or Wire Transfer" will provide your broker with ARCS Atlanta account information and other details required to complete the transaction.  This form is available upon request from our ARCS Atlanta VP Finance/Treasurer at atlanta.vpfinance@arcsfoundation.org  Under the policies of the chapter, the shares will be immediately sold/liquidated by our broker and the proceeds transferred to our account.  There is no fee for the sale of stock by our broker.  

Please inform us of stock transfers.  Without the submission form, there is no means of identifying the source of stock donations.

Ayden Clark-Veal

Second Year ARCS Scholar

Ayden Clark-Veal is a Biology major with a minor in Environmental Studies at Morehouse. He maintains his 3.70 GPA as a member of the Dean’s List, a winner of the Thomas J. Blocker Award, Robert E. McNair Scholar, and a Viven Thomas Scholar. His research interests are plant biology, biochemistry, and environmental science. He has studied plant species with anti-cancerous properties for their optimal growing conditions and effectiveness, as well as the relationship between sleep apnea and cardiovascular disease. In addition to his studies, Ayden loves gardening, skating, and volunteering with educational programs for high school students. Following graduation, Ayden plans on pursuing a Ph.D. and a research career in botany, plant science, or agriculture.
