Posted on Saturday, January 1, 2022

Chanel Frazier, Managing Director at BlackRock, is the Global Head of Business Strategy for the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) and the Head of the Atlanta Innovation Hub. It was an honor for ARCS Atlanta to highlight Ms. Frazier during our 2021 Scholar Awards Celebration.  She is a superb representative of our ARCS Atlanta corporate partners.

In her business strategy role, Ms. Frazier leads global teams in the execution of programs to identify and capture market opportunities for one of the firm's largest investment teams. As the leader of the Atlanta Innovation Hub, Ms. Frazier works with leadership teams to continue to build the firm's presence in the area and strengthen engagements with clients and the local community.

Chanel Frazier was the perfect spokesperson to give a voice to the important role ARCS corporate donors play in supporting and investing in scientific and technological innovation.  She expressed how ARCS corporate partners fulfill important business goals through their relationship with ARCS by being able to recruit the best and brightest talent.  As innovation is one of the key ways BlackRock meets their clients’ needs, the strong relationships that they develop with our scholars are an important factor in BlackRock’s relationship with ARCS Foundation.

Chanel Frazier serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a member of the Woodruff Arts Center Board of Directors in Atlanta.

She is deeply committed to philanthropy and previously served on the Board of Directors of Gibney Dance, a social justice arts organization and the national board of the "I Have a Dream" Foundation. As a result of her community involvement, Ms. Frazier has provided keynote addresses at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. She spoke during the 54th Session of the Commission for Social Development and during the 60th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.

Ms. Frazier earned her A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College, her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from New York University School of Law.

BlackRock has been a corporate partner of ARCS Atlanta since 2020 and sponsors six ARCS scholars each year.  We are grateful to Chanel Frazier for her representation of our corporate partners’ motivation to support ARCS Atlanta.  We are also grateful to BlackRock for sponsoring our 2021 Scholar Awards Celebration and for their generous support of ARCS Atlanta and our scholars.
