This year’s honoree represents the best of our members!  At our January General Membership meeting held at the downtown Capital City Club, Leslie Petter was named our 2024 ARCS Light by Lee Doyle, 2023 ARCS Light recipient. 

Since Leslie joined our chapter in 2009, she has sponsored 5 new members as well as fully funding a scholar for many years.  Leslie has held many board positions including Special Events Chair, Nominating Committee Chair, Newsletter Editor, Newsletter Publisher, VP Administration, Public Webpage/ Social Media Chair – and President.

“She is a role model for a hard-working volunteer, the Pearl Mesta of our chapter!  As the nation’s best proofreader, she has ensured ARCS communications met a standard of excellence.  In redesigning our website, Leslie transformed it into an impressive and inviting portal for visitors as well as members, and she continues to keep it fresh and engaging .”

Leslie never fails to acknowledge every effort and is always generous in helping work through any problems. Her kindness is above measure and sets an example for us all to follow. Her continued dedication and commitment to ARCS are commendable, and truly invaluable to our chapter.
