Every gift to the Scholar Award Fund goes to the support of our scholars. Unlike most academic grants, ARCS awards are unrestricted, providing flexibility for the recipients to use at their discretion. Your investment makes it possible for ARCS Scholars to attend scientific meetings to explore ideas with cohorts, purchase equipment or computers for research, and travel to areas around the globe to study on site.
While donations of all amounts are welcome, donors at the $9,000; $7,500 or $4,500 level can elect to sponsor or co-sponsor a named Scholar Award. ARCS Foundation Atlanta supports qualified scholars for 2 - 3 years. Please consider renewing your donation annually.

Jacy Scott
Doyle/Love Award
Ph.D. Student, Immunology
Emory University
Jacy Scott is an Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis doctoral student at Emory University whose research examines how the immune system influences metabolic health. She earned a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale College and spent two years studying how innate immune pathways regulate pregnancy outcomes. This work resulted in two peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international scientific conferences. Her current research focuses on regulatory T cells and adipose tissue immunity, with the goal of identifying therapeutic targets for metabolic disease. Outside the laboratory, she enjoys hiking, birding, and trying recipes from her collection of cookbooks.
